John Utaka’s transfer to Egyptian club, Ismaily, has fallen through.
The former Super Eagles forward was due to sign a two-year deal with
the club, but has failed to agree terms according to his agent, Tekin
Birinci.
“John Utaka couldn’t agree in terms with İsmaily and coming back from
Egyptian club, he is open to any offers as we discussed earlier today,”
Birinci tweeted.
The 34-year-old first joined Ismaily in 1999, where he won the Egypt Cup, scoring 17 goals in 21 games.
He then moved to England and France, where he won the FA Cup and French Ligue 1 with Portsmouth and Montpellier respectively.
